The brain like any other muscle in your body needs a good workout to stay healthy and strong. We need to exercise our brains daily in order to be focused and alert. There are many ways to do this such as brain games, luminosity, Sudoku, cross-word puzzles, exercising, dieting etc. The kind of exercise your brain doesn’t get doing these games and activities is targeted training. Neurofeedback provides concise and targeted training for the brain. We are able to see where and how the neurons are firing in order to stimulate memory and optimal cognition.

The term neuroplasticity also known as brain plasticity is an umbrella term to refer to synaptic and non-synaptic plasticity. This is the changes in neural pathways and synapse due to changes in behavior, environment, neural processes, thinking, and emotions—as well as changes resulting from bodily injuries.  Using EEG we are able to see exactly where the discrepancies are so we can stimulate change using sound feedback in order to enhance memory.

There are many reasons memory can be disrupted but there are new ways to improve memory loss by doing neurofeedback when you notice there has been a decline.
